Terms and Conditions

  1. General
  • 1.1 We are PT Salam Ransel Indonesia officially registered in Labuan Bajo with number AHU-023675.AH.01.30 . To meet with our team, by appointment only.
  • 1.2 These are our terms and conditions governing the contract between all guests named on the booking with us (including anyone who is added or substituted at a later date) where we provide scheduled tours (open trip) operated by our team. Please read them carefully as they set out your and our respective rights and obligations.
  • 1.3 We act as tour operators (tours organisers) and do so in respect of all bookings we take and/or make on your behalf. We work directly with boat owners, hotels, transport (cars, buses and motorbikes), local guides and photographers. We organise and prepare all your requirements in one package. We will also confirm key information to you in writing before you order. This can be by email, telephone, in your online account or on paper.
  • 1.4 We only accept orders when we’ve checked
  • 1.5 Consent to our use of personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is authorised on behalf of all persons named on the booking to disclose their personal details to us, including where applicable, special categories of data (such as information on health conditions)
  • 1.6 Not recommended for pregnant women, toddler (1-5 years old) and who have serious medical history (you must inform us)
  • 1.7 Wccept financial responsibility for payment of the booking on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking;
  • 1.8 Warrant that dates and timings are correct on of all documents
  • 1.9 Warrant that names, dates of birth and other passport details are identical to those in the relevant passports.
  • While in the Komodo National Park, you must follow the rules and instructions of the local guide.
  • Unauthorised drones are not allowed in Komodo National Park.
  • Fireworks are not allowed inside the park.

2. Quotation and Price 

  • 2.1 Each quotation is subject to availability and a potentially updated price at time of booking.
  • 2.2 You must ensure that you have read and accepted the final quotation and itinerary before booking and making the first payment, and that you do so when making that payment. We require each traveller’s details for the ship’s manifest.
  • 2.3 We reserve the right to correct any published prices, quote and itineraries and will do so when we become aware of such an error.
  • Once we’ve confirmed the price of your expedition, we still reserve the right to correct errors and to pass on any price increases occurring on or before the date of departure. We will apply a surcharge if our costs increase as a result of transportation costs e.g., fuel and Entrance Fees

 

3. Payments, Refunds and Cancelation

  • We require payments as follows. If you make your booking:
    1. Deposit for booking the trip is 30% of total price. With receive balance payments of 70% is 10 days before the tours departure date
    2. The rest payment should be made 10 days before tours departure
    3. We shall not pay refunds except to the account from which you made the original payment. You accept that to cover our costs we make all refunds net of any bank/credit card fees and a processing fee
  • Whenever you cancel we do not refund the initial 30% deposit.
  • If you need to reschedule, please let us know and let us know your preferred date. We will then check availability and let you know if it is available. (*Terms and conditions apply to each vessel)
  • In case of force majeure or weather conditions, the tour will be rescheduled or cancelled.
  • Cancellation from us due to weather conditions or force majeure fully refund down payment.
  • We are not liable for any costs that you incurs as a result of the cancellation.
  • However, sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control the terms and conditions may change. The terms and conditions you receive with your booking confirmation are the terms and conditions that apply to your contract with us.

 

4. IN CASE OF DELAY OR ABSENCE ON THE DAY OF DEPARTURE

  • If the participant arrives late or is absent on the day of departure for any reason, the entire package is non-refundable, non-changeable and non-transferable.
  • If the participant does not follow the guide’s instructions to be at the meeting point on time during the trip, the participant will be responsible for any additional costs.
  • Salam Ransel Indonesia disclaims any responsibility for the consequences caused by the participant if they leaves the group during the trip.
  • If the participant does not show up at the agreed meeting place and time during the trip, the participant will be responsible for any additional costs and the missed trip cannot be regressed or refunded.

 

5. Medical, Risks and Inconveniences

  • Each participant is advised to have self-insurance
  • If something happens at sea that cannot be dealt with due to a participant’s medical condition, the participant’s family/friend will be responsible for getting them to the nearest hospital. If it happens at sea with a very urgent condition, we will help to contact the SAR or the handling party to pick up the participant concerned and the accompanying family / friends. All of the above costs are the responsibility of the individual/family.
  • You accept that this tour involves risks and inconveniences that you may or may not be aware of and that are likely to cause discomfort. The tour will take you into the outdoors in a wooden boat, the obstacles/risks we may never know.
  • The tour will be on a wooden boat and you will be staying on board. The type of boat will depend on what you ordered at the beginning. This will affect the comfort of your cruise as each boat has a different level of facilities and comfort.

 

6. FORCE MAJEURE

According to the laws and principles adopted in Indonesia, the force majeure may include, but is not limited to what happened during the journey: the unpredictable, irresistible, uncontrollable and unable to cope with the unexpected events and circumstances that occur or will occur as follows

  1. Natural disasters such as typhoons, storms, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, volcanic eruptions, landslides;
  2. Government actions such as expropriation, requisition;
  3. Abnormal social events such as wars, armed conflicts, strikes, riots and terrorist attacks.

  1. Salam Ransel Indonesia does not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss or damage during the trip (money, mobile phone, etc.).
  2. Salam Ransel Indonesia reserves all rights to cancel or change the order of visits without notice, depending on the National Park authority, weather, time change or closing day of tour sites, etc., while respecting the program.
